I'm Back!

For any of you who still look at this blog every once in a while... I'm back! It's been almost two years but I have returned! I still dance and I am a captain of the color guard team "Urban Lite West" and I am loving it! Hopefully I will post more often but no promises... Here is a recent picture of me if you are interested! XD

Do I look as old as I am?

Do I look like a seventh grader to you? (oh and by the way my BFF Olivia is the one on the left. I am wearing blue Olivia is going to be in seventh grade to I definitely think she looks way more like a seventh grader dont you think?)

Winter vs. Spring

Is Winter coming late this year or something because I would really prefer for there to NOT be snow on my birthday. I like Winter and all but if its gonna come then I think it should really be on schedule. Oh, and If it's gonna snow, then it should at least snow three feet or maybe even one foot, I don't really care as long as its above 6 inches. Well, the only thing I have left to say is that the snow had better be gone by the 20th or else I'm gonna... I'll decide that later...

Grammys and news!

I'm watching the Grammy Awards. Adele is Performing! Yay! Write a comment if you like her. Sorry I have not been posting. Next year I am going to West High! Go panthers! :) I've been dancing on my pointe shoes. They are so pretty!Btw if you ever come to my house i just wanted to let you know that I have two siblings that can be VERY annoying. Crack!

Last Wednesday I broke my arm. We went to the doctor and I got my x-ray taken. Apparently Greek Olympic obstacle courses are very dangerous. Any way I'm going to see an Orthopedist tomorrow, to see if how bad the fracture is. Unfortunately, I might not be allowed to dance in the Nutcracker anymore. Let's hope it does not come to that. In the mean time I will be wearing a sling for the next couple of weeks.

Point Shoes

Today I got my first pair of point shoes. I'm so happy, If you took a look inside me, I 'm pretty sure all you would see are smiley faces! I'll post a picture soon!

Ballet

Can 6 and 1/2 hours of ballet a week be too much?
Not for me. I love ballet. Of course, now that I think about it I'm only dancing 3 and 1/2 hours. The other 3 hours I just sit in the studio and wait for Rebecca. Ugggh. (sigh) at least it is worth it. I start dancing on pointe shoes in January but I choose them in November. Next Month! I'm soooo exited. Pointe shoes here I come! :)

"Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory"

Today I went to Sweets candy factory. It was fun. they let me try samples. I tried Sour cherry balls, chocolate covered orange sticks (fresh off the line), and taffy. I tried buttered popcorn taffy. (which my mom doesn't really like)
The reason I call it "Willy Wonka's chocolate factory" is because when you look up, you see a whole bunch of labeled pipes. some of the pipes said : Caution Hot Water Line, or: Caution Water Line. The ones that made me think about "Willy Wonka's Factory" were the ones labeled: CHOCOLATE and HIGH GLUCOSE CORN SYRUP. They really carried chocolate through them!
After our tour was finished, we shopped for taffy and everyone in my class was lucky because they each got a piece.

A Brick For Breakfast?

This morning, while eating breakfast,( a bowl of raisin bran) I was startled. Why? Let's start from the beginning
I was pouring cereal into my bowl. I hear a "Thunk" so I stop pouring. I look in my bowl and there is a "Brick" is in my bowl. The brick consists mostly of raisins and has a few flakes of the bran sticking to it. I show it to my mom who after staring at it for seven seconds, snickered in a friendly way before saying, "You must have hit the jackpot."
I showed my dad and since I had already eaten the rest of my cereal, I said he could eat it. He then replied "I will take a picture of it if I end up awake enough to." I just laughed.
The next time you find a brick in a box of cereal, just let me know. :)

Webkinz

I'm so happy. I love webkinz and because a new movie is coming out on April 1st, Webkinz gave me a challenge. I won and so I won a virtual Hopping Bunny and it is so cute! I love it so much! I named it Martine. I hope they have more contests like that!

My Turn!

Hello there. For the most part, my parents have been writing everything. Now its my turn! Its my blog so now I'm taking over. (For the most part.) I can tell this will be fun! Now, almost everything will be in my own words! Yes!

I guess I'll begin by introducing myself. (As if you didn't know me already.) I am almost 11 years old and I love reading. If you hadn't read any good books for a while, why not try The Last Dragon series. It's really good. We have (we meaning my family) have been going to the library. It is really fun.

Like one of the last posts my dad did says: I HATE homework. I think its really boring. Once I almost fell asleep while doing my math! (Of course, it was late and past my bedtime.) If you want to see why homework bores to death, then you can give me your e-mail adress and I can send you my essay on D-Day.

Writing is really fun and on a good day I can write poems. If you want, give me your e-mail adress and I will send you an excerpt from one of the books I'm currently writing.

I HATE HOMEWORK! Why does it even matter if I do my homework. My life is so horrible because I have to do my homework. Woe is me! How can it possibly make any difference in anything if I do it or not. *sob*

So there you have it. The above was a short summary of the events yesterday evening. She's only 9. I thought I had another 3 years or so until this silliness starts. I guess I'll have to bump up my schedule, eh? :)

The Nutcracker

Sara performed in The Nutcracker during the month of December. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work! She had the opportunity to perform for one of our local television stations, and I finally found a link to the video online. You'll first catch a glimpse of her at about the 1:40 mark (she's on the right), glimpses of her for the next minute, and then when you reach the 2:40 mark there will be a couple of close-ups!

The actual production was MUCH better than this video clip. But hey, you have to perform where they tell you to perform! There simply just wasn't enough room, the floor was slippery, and it was tile - so the grout made for a very uneven dance surface! Oh... and she was up at 5:00 AM to get ready for this performance. Yikes!

Harry Potter Mania

The Princess is obsessed with Harry Potter. She's currently reading Book 3 - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

People worry about whether or not these books are too "dark" for her. They could be, I suppose, but I wonder how much of that she actually processes. This may be a poor guideline to follow, but I figure that as long as she's not having nightmares it's OK. She really loved reading "Goosebump" books during the school year, but every once in a while she'd have bad dreams about them, so I'd make her stop for a few weeks.

Anyway, she loves the "magic" of Harry Potter. The Princess can be found running around the house in her invisibility cloak, and loves to pretend that she is Hermione Granger. She has a magic wand, and loves to cast spells. She also is keen to turn whoever is available into other characters of the story. The Dragon has been known to play the role of "Fluffy" and guard the Sorcerer's Stone, or, Hagrid's lovable dog, Fang. She refers to her school as Hogwarts, and loves to pretend that she's riding the "Hogwarts Express."

I love her imagination.

Things I Love About The Pink Princess

The Pink Princess is now 7 and has a strong desire to do what is right. She is eager to please, and wants to be a leader.

She is creative in her games as she has a vivid imagination. She loves writing letters to her friends, and drawing pictures for just about everyone we know.

The Princess is also stubborn - it is very hard to change her mind once she has made her decision. I hope that this will carry her far in life - in a good way.

She has a deep love of God and Jesus Christ. She finds comfort when she prays - I am glad she has learned this at a young age. Everyone should have a way that they can find some measure of peace in this crazy world.

She is still so young, but I can already see glimpses of the woman she is going to become. She is a beautiful little girl, and the love I feel for her is so overwhelming I feel as though my heart may burst at any moment.

A Date With Grandma

today is monday and it is the forth of june. i am going to go see a play tonight. i am going with grandma and grandpa. it will be fun.
