Run, Run, As Fast As You Can... (especially if you're a gingerbread man)

The Pink Princess partook of her first Gingerbread Man today, courtesy of our neighbor Steve. She first did a happy dance, then proceeded to lick him from toe to head. She then began gnawing on his left arm which finally broke off after several minutes. Once she had finished the arm, she ate his right frosting eyeball, then proceeded to make him "dance" as she sang "Doo doo doo... doo doo doo...". His belly was then given one or two more licks (she liked the frosting), and then he was left to rot on the couch.

All in all, I think she enjoyed the experience.

The Pink Princess Types

(Translation: "I want to watch Bambi now." At least, that's what I think it means since she was repeatedly saying "Baybe" while she was typing this message. - Mommy)

The Pink Princess Talk

The Pink Princess is busily trying to "talk" to us now, although I don't think it qualifies as English (or "American") yet. However, even if she can't get the words out, she certainly can communicate!

She barks at dogs, meows at cats, quacks at ducks, "sniffs" whenever she sees a flower, points at airplanes, and waves hello and bye-bye. "Foos" means shoes. "Ca-ca" means car/truck. "Bebe" is baby. "Ca-coh" is color. "Cocah" is cookie. "Baybe" is Bambi (similar to baby - TV in the room means Bambi, baby in the room means baby - and if both are in the room, well, it's probably the one she's hitting!). She "vrooms" when she plays with cars, and "la la's" with Big Bird when they "Sing!" a song. "Eese" is cheese, and a hand on her bottom means "change me please". She also knows sign language for bird, and food. If all else fails, she is more than happy to grab a hold of your pants and drag you to wherever it is that she would like you to go.

The Pink Princess also says "Mommy", "Momma" and "Dada." And the other day I know she said "Thank-you," although I haven't heard it since. She also has said "diaper", but again, only once. But I'm not worried - I know it will only be a short matter of time before she's talking and I'm wishing she wasn't!

Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!

Tuesday morning, 8:00 am. Open the door to The Pink Princess' room, and there she sits in only a diaper. The "footy" pajamas are all the way off, and The Pink Princess appears frustrated as she is busily trying to shove her arm back into one of the legs. Not to mention the pajamas are inside-out.

Maybe the two-piece pajamas will be a better choice for her - at least if I want her to stay clothed.

Attack Of The Naked Baby

As some of you may have heard, The Pink Princess has taken to undressing herself. She hasn't completed it entirely (yet!), but she's certainly making progress. Saturday morning, when I went to wake her up, her onesie was unsnapped, her diaper was halfway off, and she had peed in her crib - particularly on her favorite stuffed dog. She appeared to be quite happy (or proud?), and spent the next several minutes jumping up and down and squealing "Mama, Mama!"

Now I wonder what she will (or won't) be wearing tomorrow morning?
